Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 31, 2026 · Applies to the Fin iOS app ("Fin", "the App") and finapp websites, operated by Welda LLC ("we", "us").

The short version: Fin has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no server of ours that stores your personal data. What you enter in Fin (your habit, streak, check-ins, pet name, motivations) stays on your device. The only data that leaves your device relates to processing your subscription purchase.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

Fin is designed to work without knowing who you are. We do not collect, store, or have access to:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials (there are no accounts).
The habit you are quitting, your streak, check-ins, relapse history, motivations, or pet name. These are stored locally on your device only.
Your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health data.
Advertising identifiers. Fin contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs.

2. Data Processed for Purchases

Fin offers auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple’s App Store. When you purchase a subscription:

Apple processes your payment. We never see your payment details. Apple’s handling of your data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
RevenueCat, Inc. acts as our subscription-management processor. It receives purchase receipt information and a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier so your subscription can be validated and restored. This identifier is not linked to your identity, and we do not use it for tracking across apps or websites. RevenueCat’s privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Purchase records are retained as long as needed to operate your subscription and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

Everything you enter in Fin lives in local storage on your iPhone. Deleting the App deletes this data permanently. We cannot recover it, because we never had it. If you use device backups (e.g. iCloud backup), your Fin data may be included in those backups under Apple’s terms and your iCloud settings.

4. Website

Our website is a static site hosted on Vercel. It sets no cookies of ours and runs no analytics of ours. Vercel, as hosting infrastructure, may process standard technical request logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site securely; see Vercel’s privacy policy for details.

5. Children

Fin deals with topics such as alcohol, nicotine, and gambling and is not directed at children. You must be at least 17 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your region as indicated by the App Store rating) to use Fin. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights

Because your in-app data never leaves your device, you exercise most privacy rights directly: view your data in the App, and delete it by deleting the App. For anything related to purchase data, you can contact us at the address below, and we will work with our processors to honor applicable rights under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, including access and deletion requests.

7. Data Security

Your in-app data is protected by your device’s own security (device encryption, passcode/Face ID). Purchase processing uses Apple’s and RevenueCat’s secured infrastructure over encrypted connections.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this site.
